Wow! That is an amazing tool. I recall my machinist days knurling stuff on an old old South Bend. Worked okay for the stuff we were working on, but something like that would have been amazing. Thanks for posting.

I've also seen Rack and Pinion types like this too and considered it but with no mill...hard put to do that precision by hand. I am hoping you are adding it to your plans as it Is scale-able as you said, if so...I'm In!! What size wheels does it take??

Thanks so much for sharing your fine work and talents with us!

P.S. I love that you used double set screws for the wheel pins.
Thank You PJs for your generous comment (as always)
I chose a fine thread to adjust the knurling wheels because with a fine thread you can clamp down on something very tight without a lot of muscle, applying a good amount of force at the initial starting of the knurling process will greatly reduce the affect of cross knurling, I have submitted the plans to Jon for reviewing, the plans are to scale so it wouldn't be difficult to scale down, people can also just take my general design and make one to fit their machine, the knurling wheels are KPL 220 HSS Form Rolls with a 3/8" face width X 3/4" Dia. with a 1/4" hole, but you can machine the slot in the Knurling Wheel Holders to fit the wheels of your choice,

Thank You Again for your generous comments
