My name is Brian. I mostly do various jobs around the house and have found that sometimes I need to make things to do a job a certain way. I've been lurking for a couple of years. Don't have much experience with metal working, I do mostly wood.

Thank you for the welcome, I appreciate it!
I am now finishing up taking out an exterior door and jamb down to the rough frame and putting in a new jamb and door. It is the first really major thing I've done ever. I will be taking the old door and cutting it down to size to fit another exterior door frame replacing a door that we don't like.
Let's just say I'm retired and was trained and worked as a news photographer. So this wood work, framing and carpentry is quite a departure for me.
