Hi all, Surfing the web I stumbled into this doorway. Where have you been hiding? This is the most awesome place I have ever found. I am looking for ideas to help with a new project of mine. A rotisserie mechanism to flip a table. Specifically, I am building a 8' X 20' flat table for my slot car track and I want to be able to flip it over so that I can work on the wiring system located, and fixed under the table. Looking around here I can see the light for many more projects in my future. Thanks for adding me.

Cool project! I've got great memories of my late '60s & early '70s slot car tracks. Wish I still had them. Let's see some pics of your layout.

I wonder if you'd be able to adapt some automotive rotisserie ideas to your purpose. Have you looked through our Rotisseries category?

Sounds like a great project, I have built a few train tables in my time and loved slot when I was young. Post in "Help Me Build" forum and I am sure you can get some great ideas. Sounds like a rotisserie system is in order.. Jonathan

First of all, welcome, Charles! That's a nice use for a rotisserie you're thinking about. As Ken said, you'll most likely find the design you need in the Rotisseries section. I had a slot car track too when I was younger, but nothing like the setups you see nowadays. I'd love to see your cars and track too.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I will check out the rotisserie section ASAP. Just in the planning stages right now for the new track but I currently have a 90ft two lane that I can post along with some photos of a few of my cars. I'll get on that tonight.
