Howdy,

My name is Jay Bates. In 2008-ish I got into woodworking as a hobby and in 2012 started uploading videos to YouTube and created my website jayscustomcreations.com to document my journey. Things snowballed and in 2014 I was able to quit my day job as maintenance at an apartment complex to focus on creating content for my website.

All of the stuff I make is primarily out of wood, although I did make a metal vise with square tubing and a welder one time.

I was invited to this forum to share a couple of my previous items. I hope to provide some information and soak up some from the stuff already published here.
