    My late wife and I had a Basenji that would do that. Turn the garden hose on in the yard, laying in the dirt, she would dig ditches fast to channel the water, but always in a circle!
    The ditches always went counter clockwise and ended up back at the end of the garden hose.
    Was a great dog, but had some strange quirks like that.
