Thought to be one of the less efficient irrigation methods, but it requires the least amount of time to set up easier to relocate than many other methods, covers a huge area. there is so much water sprayed in the air that the ambient humidity is falsely raised. In large enough fields to require several spraying in an overlapping pattern the air temperatures are slightly lowered for some distance away from the irrigation area

Agreed, not as conservative compared to pivot watering systems, but still impressive. Wish the gif concentrated a bit more on the mechanism and nozzle. I'd bet that nozzle is nearly if not exact profile as a fire nozzle. The dynamics of tapered smooth-bore direct fire nozzles is a well established science.
