    Introduction from new member brianhw

Hi,all - I was flattered to receive an invitation to join up with the HomemadeTools.net forum by jon the other day and have just now registered under my user name of brianhw. I imagine this invitation was prompted by my "Handy Homemade Garage/Workshop Items and Tools" series of videos on YouTube which I have been posting for over a year now, with a view to giving others some ideas that they might be able to use for making things themselves with the emphasis especially on 'low cost/no cost' items as all of mine are.

In the invitation I noticed quite a few videos on anvils and blasting cabinets which prompted me to get the camera out this afternoon and do a short video on my old glass fibre blasting cabinet which I knocked up maybe 15 years ago. So, as soon as I get it 'Moviemakered' I will be posting this video soon on YouTube when I'll post the link here.

Feel free to ask any questions, or tell me if I'm doing anything wrong !

    Thanks,

    brianhw

Thanks, Jon & kbalch for welcomes.
As promised and prompted by you, I have just posted a video on my old blasting cabinet on YouTube - see link below:-

In answer to Ken, yes, I am working on straightening out wheel arch damage to my car at the moment. I don't know if this would be of any interest here, but it does involve a couple of my homemade dent puller tools. I'll be doing a video on this after Christmas so let me know if you want me to include the YouTube link when it's done. I'll not be offended if this is outside the remit of this forum.

    Brian.

    Hi Brian,

Thanks for the blast cabinet video! By all means, please do post the video of your car repair. Lots of folks here would be interested in seeing how those dent pullers work in practice, plus they're homemade!

Thanks and Welcome Brian! Looks to me it's weathered the storms of 15 years pretty well. Really impressive and quite ingenious to build from car parts and bits and pieces! Look forward to more of your work. ~PJ
