    Smile Introduction

Married to my best friend. Next March will be 54 years. 4 Children, 2 boys, 2 girls. 30 years as a Computer Tech. Did other jobs during the various layoffs I have experienced. 10.5 years as a Detentions Deputy Sheriff. Quite an eye opener that. Enjoy woodworking. Like building my own computers. Working on my General Ham license as we speak. My goals are delving more into Radio-Electronics, learning CW, and eventually getting my Advanced Class Ham license. Never had much money so I became a Jack of all Trades and you know the rest. But your site holds great interest for me. So let's see what happens

Welcome to the forums, tparnell24! Your skills in electronics would be pretty useful here, and I might have a question or two for you down the road. Welcome to the forums!

I have two projects going on. I have a CB radio that does not work. I have purchased one just like it off Ebay that does work. No Schematic available, hence the purchase. I hope to take readings off the good radio to fix the bad. Just a challenge to keep my mind going along with my trouble shooting skills. I am also soldering together a clock circuit with six seven segment readouts just for the fun of it to see how it works. Have a great day and thanks for asking. Peace.
