FF to 3:03 Notice pickup on other side of tracks
Yep that\s a trainwreck. The unofficial statement said the derailment was caused by a derailed truck under 1 of the cars.
Now what could cause a truck to derail on a straight and level track we might ask. For one, tracks are seldom completely straight and level. From watching several videos of this derailment, it would appear that the offending car was the tanker. It could have been a partially filled unit. and just back along the rail the tracks could have had some sleeping sleepers not supporting 1 of the rails causing the contents in the tanker to slosh enough for 1 of the trucks to jump track, this could have been a half mile back or more before the tanker laid over. Another possibility could have been a hot box bearing causing 1 of the trucks to jump track. a faulty spring on 1 side or something else. Generally, Rail roads are not quick to publish a detailed cause
Never try to tell me it can't be done
