Reminds me of an old chemical site I went for an instrument tech job at, the tray work had rotted away and the cables had been so overlaid with pipes and more cables secured to them they'd become self supporting which was the first warning sign, during the tour we went into a reactor 'shed' (a shed would be more wind and rain proof), where the coolant, liquid ammonia was banging away due to the superheated steam on the other side of a control valve, thankfully I didn't get the job... The site closed in 2006 and it took 15 years of remediation to clean it up, had to close as housing had been allowed to be built all around it and 'incidents' meant that it wasn't safe.
