    It may indeed not be his fault, first we don't know how long he has waited there for that gate to function CORRECTLY. I note with interest that it fails to retract completely, and he may not have the rest of the day to waste waiting for an opportunity to proceed. It's not outside the realms of possibility that he has a valid claim against the gate owner.

    The driver that makes the decision to proceed is always responsible for the outcome, nobody else.

    A comment on the blind driver, True story my good friend an FFL holder had a customer in AZ who was blind (not sure if legally or really) wanted to get a carry permit and eventually did get it.
