Haven't started making any weld tools yet, this will be one of the first. Gravity versions too, but not so hot overhead. As with most tools, universal designs are not always convenient, and with little expense involved, who'd complain about a few spares? Who has just one C-clamp? One inclination says to incorporate a magnetic ground clamp.
