Hi guys,
just wanted to introduce myself.
I,m 46 and have worked in numerous areas of engineering since I left school, i'm a creative thinker and not to bad at finding solutions to those brick wall problems. i spend far too much time drawing, designing and building stuff, unfortunately it will never make me rich. A large part of my career has been spent working with submersible vehicles for the UK Oil industry, i even had a some success at designing and building my own Remotely Operated Submersible Vehicle. My other achievements have been a 3D Printer, CNC plasma table and the conversion of an old milling machine into a CNC.
I'm always looking for the next thing to invent or make, all of which is subsidised by own pocket.
I have mig,tig and ark welding facilities, a lathe and the 3 machines mentioned above. I love tools and always find an excuse to justify buying something (her in doors is not always happy).
id love to find an employer who wanted and respected ingenuity, unfortunately i've only found cheapskates to date.
I can turn my hand to anything and often do. Just layed a concrete floor after ripping out a sewer pipe which was left in under the house. oh and i can cook.
Apparently i'm thick as i don't have a degree
just a good old fashioned farmers son.
cheers
Jason
