    I need a good electronic junk store

    I having a tough time .I live in hell Kansas .Far removed from anything like the real world.I need a 3kv step up or down transformer also need to converse with an electronic wizard.Im building a plasma torch.I have everything else I need.One problem is I dont want to finance some guys first childs college tuition. Freight is bad enough .Anyone with any Ideas please let me know Richard Johnson

    This place isn't too far from me and is simply stuffed full of electronic miscellany:

    They are a great source but they dont have what I need thank you again and have great holidays may you always have enough

    Freight should be cheap to Kansas, you're in the middle. It should be 1/2 price from the East or the West.

    I live in rural Appalachia, so I feel your pain.

    Hi,
    maybe solved by now. Step down I think ? 3kv = +- 3000w ? 110/25 or 220/15 to 40v/65a ? not that 110v/25a is reasonable. and 40v is open circuit voltage and might drop to 12v? under load . I have been thinking about this stuff also. If size/power consumption is not primary criteria,a transformer conversion from microwaves like the diy welder guys make might do .
