I am actually a chef in real life but I love to tinker and make things. I have not tried to make many tools as of yet but I have repaired alot of them. I happened by this site while looking for a manometer plan to check my kitchen propane regulator. Thought it looked pretty interesting ( and it is) so I joined. Please forgive any stupid questions from me since my hobby is more learning than hands on right now, not a lot of free time for folks like me in the food service world.

My wife and I are serious fine dining devotees and greatly appreciate the skill and artistry of our favorite chefs. What sort of cooking are you doing? Have you ever made a tool to assist with a particular task in the kitchen?

We're all in learning mode all the time; there's always a new skill or technique to master. What are you interested in learning at the moment?
