    Hi Howder1951,

    Welcome!

Sounds cold up there! Hello from sunny (if not quite so warm as usual) Orlando!

What sort of homemade tools do you like best?

Hi KB, I presently have a few projects on the back burners right now. I am trying a few grinder rest designs ala Harold Hall. One is a general rest and another is the simple end mill sharpening guide. I also have a frame made up for a belt grinder, I'll get started on wheels and rests in the spring when its a bit nicer. In true amateur style I like to see if I can make it rather than buy it.
Right now some of my favourite builds are small vises like instrument makers tools and the like.

Presently I am just finishing a finger plate "mark 1" I am experimenting with some finishing techniques and modifying the design ( to fit my scrap box).
Winter is good for some things!
