    Uhmmmmm that is not showing how it is made, that is just showing the end run through a mandrel and we don't actually see that happens when that happens, as it could be really ugly (my guess)...

    I don't think it's a mandrel. They're terminating the end of that wire rope with an eye. I think if the video went a bit longer we'd see them pouring in molten metal around those bare strands to form a wedge plug.

    Edit: Looks like it doesn't even have to be metal. They have some sort of epoxy that can be poured in to make those "Spelter Socket" wire rope ends.
