I no longer want to even visit this country. I used to love how they were freedom loving. now they just disgust me. Wow just imagine the horror of a person that loves freedom and just likes to shoot targets! The government there has turn into cultist zeots, STUPID with power to control people. They tell you what you can do, how to think and what your allowed to believe and say. And if all that isn't true yet...it will be. They people there fell for the age old lie and trap. "The government is here to protect you, trust us." They have turned into Lemmings.
It's just a shame !!!

in France it's absoluty forbidden shooting at home with all modern calibers as 9 para,223, 45 ACP..all semi auto guns,pistolets ,revolvers.. only BP guns,or hunting guns.. full auto: never..we can't have.

What are they referring to as hunting guns? even a lot of shot guns are semi auto

chez nous,pauvre France= 2 coups en magazin,1 dans le canon... ou alors,c'est soumis à autorisation ,pour le IPSC..

les lois françaises sont débiles!!! tous les pistolets semi-automatiques entièrement automatiques sont des armes de guerre, et toute personne peut en avoir.( dont' have!)

de nombreux amis avaient AK, ou M16, STG 57, etc. modifiés en semi-auto..tous ont été détruits..

Thanks, Most laws made by all governments are stupid. In my opinion every government has been corrupted to the core. Drunk on the power they have created for themselves, because there are not enough self-aware people willing to become involved in trying to root out the corruption and reduce the number of power drunk officials in office. The EU lives in fear, a fear inculcated in their Civil Services, and thus politicians by the history of the peoples violence against an overbearing state. The Russian revolution sparked many firearms, thus people, control laws. From their 'small firearms' (concealable weapons) laws (late 1990's) to banning private shooters using any current military round (post WW2).

The UK was badly afflicted too, the fear of 'Tommy Atkins' coming home from the trenches now skilled at arms and being treated just as badly as he was before WW1 and fighting the system in a revolution led to the enactment of similar laws. Banning 'small firearms', with minimum barrel and overall length requirements, along with individual firearms licenced as a single permitted item on an individuals firearms certificate is now the norm, and whilst great play is made about 'illegal firearms' being seized in truth the government doesn't fear simple armed criminals, righteous citizens however...

Any one needs to prove ineffective regulations, find a location (city, county, state, nation) where such observation as above isn't general public opinion.
Is it possible criminals are so prevalent, that figuratively a government could/ would hire them as ready mercenaries against their constituents, knowing their armed forces are primarily right leaning, and wouldn't comply?
