How Much Butane Do I have?

Butane canisters are handy but do have a short-coming. How can you easily tell how much fuel remains?

Here is a low or no-cost way to tell.

Far easier and much simpler to just hold the can under the hot water tap and let the hot water run over the length of the can. You only need to hold the can under the hot water for about 10 seconds, then remove the can from the hot water.

Stand the can upright and now run your fingers over the can from top to bottom, you will soon feel where it's colder, that's the level of the gas in the can.

Even do it with the big bottles of LPG as well, works every time.

Easy as falling of a greasy log with NO calculations required at all.
