Hello everyone,
in this video I built a circular saw for cutting small wooden details, it works with a 12V motor and toothed belt transmission: it can cut wood, pvc, aluminum, plexiglass, plywood, etc with precision, you need to be patient for the cutting times obviously, since the engine torque (even if slightly increased with the transmission in reduction from small pulley to large pulley) is not such a great value that it can push to the bitter end as happens with 0.75 kW or higher engines; I found an optimal voltage of 7.5 Volts, at that voltage the motor delivers a fair amount of torque and the final number of revolutions to the blade is around 6500 (rpm)
I've tried to use an easy build with popular shop tools (like a drill or jigsaw) and simple components found on Amazon / Aliexpress / Banggood.
