I decided to build a DRO for my Colchester Bantam tailstock, I was tired of marking the drill bit with a sharpie every time; apart from the precision, the coolant eliminated the mark at the second hole.I bought a digital caliper and cut the measuring parts, it was very difficult to drill it because it is hardened steel and its hardness is 51 HRC, I could only drill it with a carbide end-mill. Drilling a 51 HRC steel was really a feat, I didn't think it was that difficult and as always, if that phase of the project didn't succeed, I wouldn't be able to finish the video!!Hope you like my DRO, Alberto
