We had a big outdoor event coming up last summer and I wanted to make a barbecue type thing to cook for about 25 people. I wanted to play with the design of the classic rocket stove - for its benefits of being fuelled with free scrap wood and sticks rather than charcoal, efficient smokeless burning, and general cool interesting factor... We came up with this "rocket stove hot plate/griddle" thing which was made from an old scrap steel radiator.
The first video focuses on the construction and design of the rocket stove burn unit, the second, putting it together with the griddle and trying it out, and finally the third talks about using the burn unit to make a rocket 'pizza oven', and some potential future improvements
