My horizontal/vertical bandsaw vise has a pivoting movable jaw. This is good when my stock is not exactly true but is a problem when short lengths of stock are held. The jaw will pivot and fail to secure the stock.
The solution offered here is a quick adjust jack screw. It is attached to the movable jaw and accomodates any thickness of stock up to the capacity of the vise.
