    Horizontal Bandsaw Floating Jaws

Sawing tiny bits of metal on a horizontal bandsaw can risk both the metal and my fingers. Here is an attachment that will hold the metal solidly while my hands are a safe distance away.

Was wondering why the jaws are set at the distance from the blade to the movable jaw pivot bolt? Why not a bit longer?

When the jaws are pivoted to cut 45 degrees, the fixed jaw ends up at the blade.
