    I was once pouring chicken treat (scratch) out of a big plastic storage bin (around 30 pounds) into the small bucket we feed them out of. OF COURSE a chicken was right there to catch any errant bits. Then the cover came off the big bin and GLUSH, more scratch than the poor chicken had ever seen. The look on her face (they DO have emotion), "My EGG! I can't eat all THAT!...But I'll try!"
