    When I converted a drill press to a mill I learned that drill press head castings are too light and they vibrate too much under the heavy milling loads.
    If you can't make it precise make it adjustable.

    Yeah I'm sure you are right. That's another challange for me I guess. Probably only going to do small milling work.

    Good luck with your build. Mine wasn't useful for any significant milling work because of the vibration so it's been relegated to a precision drilling station and I bought a Grizzly mini mill that I use for its' intended purpose.
