G'Day all, I have just completed a Powered Lathe Slotter build that can be mounted onto the Saddle of a lathe. The slotter is designed to be easily and accurately adjustable to allow side cutting to open up the width of a keyway, ie using a 6mm wide tool to open up to a 12mm wide keyway. The design also allows the slotter to be used on different lathe center heights by easily adjusting the ram up or down, the ram has a maximum stroke of 40mm in the vertical plane. The rams length of stroke can also be easily adjusted to allow a keyway cut depth of 36mm, 52mm and 70mm. There are nearly 62 parts (video's) to this build that I must admit makes watching this series a little long winded, as a beginner to this type of YouTube project I'll certainly take away a learning and modify my editing style to make this type of series much more compact. I've posted the two last video's showing the final assembly and bench test under power. I'll do one last video showing it in action cutting a keyway but I need to do a small modification to the Saddle before I can mount it.
