This is the most amazing lathe that I have ever seen !!!! Would love to find out more about it and it's capabilities--- -great build , thanks again - Tom
Hi folks. I haven't been on the forum for a while. We spent some time on the Mainland Victoria with our Daughters doing a few jobs they had lined up, that's usually takes quite a while. mechanical repairs on cars & farm machinery. Back in the workshop now & taken on another model boat, that takes me quite a while but good to be inside with a good fire during our winters down here in Tasmania. We had a lot of people calling in when I was full time wood turning to watch the lathe in action but had to keep them behind glass to look which was only about six feet from the lathe, insurance costs were to big to let them in but they enjoyed watching. The only problem is you don't get that much work done when you put yourself on display, They usually like to stop & talk & don't realize that they aren't the only ones that stop in for a yarn. glad you enjoyed the pictures of the big lathe, it's a one off. & as I have posted before it will go to my grandson & son in law now he has a big workshop up It, will take a while to learn how it works but they are both pretty quick learners.
Take care
Angus.
