Not a terrible way to overcome a poor kitchen design...just so long as you never get a deeper stove :-) It's going to be really tight if you put a cabinet door on that, though. And the left hand door on that sink cabinet's gonna bang annoyingly on the stove every time you open it, making that space less accessible.

Agreed, doors would lessen this badly. OTOH, if drawers were finished nicely, and being no handles required, it's a winner. Probably better utilization of space than a lazy susan in the corner.
Would have capitalized that, but she might trip across this thread someday.

I think it is a great idea, last house I had built had exactly the same problem, the builder built that corner with a 2 door corner, a small hinged door connected by a long hinge to a larger door but you could never open it past 90 degress. This design does't allow for large items to be stored in there but for small items would be great.

In the houses we built the corners always had a Lazy Susan with an "L" shaped door. In our current house the dishwasher would be to the left of the corner and the stove to the right. The thing we liked is the cabinet door is fixed to the Lazy Susan so there are no odd swinging doors to bang on the surrounding cabinets or appliances. It's practically invisible, just a 1/16" gap all the way around. Massive storage, no damage and easy to access.

We had a different take on that corner space. We had access to the back side of the space with a door in the wall behind the cabinet.

My wife wanted to store various appliances there, hated lazy susans, and the door on the back side made the whole space usable. Have to have a wall behind the cabinet with a hallway to do this, but it works great.
