    Hi to everyone

    My name Is Dave,

    I bought a Myford Super 7 a few years ago , to make a few things around the house, like a "cup stand".

    and things progressed from there, nothing too major. then I applied for a job at a local engineering firm and

    been there 1 year next week!!! I'm 63 years old and used to be a Bricklayer..Great times ahead.

    Hi Jon,

    I don't know about talent, I just love doing small projects on the lathe, especially when your friends come around with something broken and you make a new part, a great feeling of achievement, when you do a good job of it.

    Welcome!

    I think we all can identify with that feeling of achievement when a project, however small, has been successfully concluded. I know it keeps me coming back for more!

    Hi Ken,

    Just saw a lathe stop and thought I have a lathe which I use in work a "Colchester student 1800", with no stop, so I'm on holiday this week and no time to do it in working hours, so I'm having a go this week, should keep me busy...
