    Hi

As you may gather from my login, my name is Fred. I am a retired DIY'er with what I thought was a reasonably equipped workshop until I started lurking here.
I am basically cheap, so if I can make it instead of buying it, I will.

    Hi Fred,

    Welcome!

What are you working on currently?

Being thrifty has provided the impetus for any number of neat homemade tools. When you're ready to share some of yours, we'd love to see them. Please post them directly in the Homemade Tools subforum. We'll add each one to the database, as well as to your builder page on the site.

Non-tool items should be shared in the Not a Tool, but Homemade subforum.

    Ken

I definitely like to think of myself in the "not a tool" category.
At present, I'm in the midst of moving so all my tools have been packed while we have been showing the house. It drives me nuts, standing in the middle of where my shop was with nothing to do!
Generally, I just tend to putter. I make canes and work on my motorcycle. No major customization, just things to make life easier.

Lots of bike "stuff" around here, too - check out our Motorcycle category page. While you're at it, you might also enjoy our companion site, BikeBuilds.net.

What kind of bike have you got?
