    HF Band saw DIY Rolling base with sworf tray. Made from 1" steel tubing, 1 1/2" angle iron, axle rod 5/8", 1/4 " steel plate and expanded metal shelf's.

    I like it! I've been in the making of one very similar for months now but haven't posted it yet because I keep getting new idea's to add on to it! Still have not painted mine because of add on's too. The band saw is one of my most favorite tools in the shop! Customizing one seems to be endless too.

    Hi bobs409, Man have you got that right, I have used mine for 16 years and have cut all kinds of stuff got love it. I'm doing an up grade with a new motor, new base, sworf pan, and paint. Cap. thanks for the post.

    What a great Mod/Build THis will come in very handy in the new shop, One question how well does the saw balance when placed in the vertical position? In other words is It top heavy and would it need out riggers if i use it as band saw with table. I would like to build what you have created but find I will use my saw more as a fertivcal band saw with a small table so that is why I ask this question. Thank you again for posting this useful build.

    Hello Stantheman55, I very seldom use it as a vertical saw I find it too dangerous so I go to my plasma cutter or the cut off wheel on my grinder instead.
    The few times I did use it vertically it was very unbalanced and very scary to me.......Cap. Have a nice day...
