I am a semi-retired cabinet maker from Texas. I've made jigs for production cabinet work that are often more involved than the cabinets they help to build. A few years back I built a sawmill so I could cut my own lumber. I started to make log furniture out of the offcuts and scraps. Then I redesigned the sawmill to perform other operations. It is a sawmill, a large capacity lathe(10" dia x 108" length), a large capacity mortise machine(24" x 96" bed,14"
vertical stroke), and a large capacity drill press. I'm looking forward to seeing what others are doing. Innovation and homebuilt machinery are almost dead in America, so I was surprised and intrigued to find a site devoted to it.
