You've found the perfect community of dedicated putterers; a good match! Building a boat sounds interesting - what sort are you contemplating? I've built an airplane (and part of another) and found both projects to be educational and fulfilling in unanticipated ways.

I made lot's of handy tools as necessary. Most of that is behind me now though.

I want to make a little wood Jon boat. 10' 12' for Rowing. I made a 'rolling rowing' seat for my Tin boat, but I want.... I guess that's it. I want, therefore I dream.
I have a small "Palm Plane" for fitting parts. I'm planning on not needing an Electric plane. Maybe that's Hoping

I helped Recover a Piper Pacer some years ago. I liked working with those Air Craft guys.
