    That's an amazing video. I do imagine that person is really lucky to have survived.

    I had a friend who was caught in an avalanche while ice climbing in New Hampshire. He and his climbing partner were carried down the ravine face and both severely injured. He attributed their survival solely to the fact that they just happened to end up on top on the snow (rather than buried) when it stopped, and there happened to be another team of climbers, a number of whom were advanced medical students, just setting out less than a half mile away who saw them fall and headed over to rescue them. He spent months recovering.
