Hello Everybody,

Great forum by first look, I have seen some great tools made by members and some very nice restorations also,
I have a small machine shop and have many interests in woodworking and metal work.
I am restoring a 30" Bandsaw made by "Thornley" around the 1940's it's a Sydney, Australia, made machine.
Currently making a small power hacksaw. My interests are turning to clock making, I also have a IME English made watchmakers lathe.
My history ranges from Managing Production machine shops to Metallurgist making Compressor turbine blades for aircraft.

So hello to everybody, it would be great to hear from anybody.

Sounds like you'll fit in very well here. How is the bandsaw restoration going so far? Post some pics if you get a chance.
