    Hello from KS.

Found this website as a link from another website and both are good places to visit and learn. I am in the process of learning gunsmithing, and knifemaking as relaxing hobbies. Hope to learn a lot here.

    thanks

    Jon,

thanks for the welcome. I have a lot of ideas on things to build but right now I am designing a crossbolt spanner wrench for mosin nagant rifles that will enable me to remove the crossbolt from the stock during repair or refinishing, etc.

Hello Alan! Welcome to the forums!

Here's a homemade wrench that's similar to the commercial ones. Looking forward to seeing your crossbolt spanner.

    Hi Alan,

    Welcome!

I had a little flirtation with Nagant rifles myself a few years ago. In fact, I just fished a set of go/no-go gauges out of my desk drawer, though I'm not sure what to do with them at the moment. Your crossbolt spanner wrench sounds like a great idea; I'm looking forward to seeing it.
