    Geffre's Tools

    hello everyone

    Greetings,
I am new to building tools but not to building. I am working on a couple of things; a welder, a sawmill, and then a playhouse from pallets and found materials. I hope to add my voice soon, but for now, I will need to listen.

Hi Brian - welcome to HomemadeTools.net

Two of those are on my list! Sawmill for the endless trees on the property, and a playhouse for my son.

How are those builds going? Got any pics to share?

no pics yet. The playhouse is just a deck so far and the sawmill is only a pile of metal and a dream. I have started with collection of parts and looking at plan upon plan to decide the best course of action for the parts I have. I might have to go metal diving again to find some pulleys. So far I have two motors, both vertical shafts, but 10 and 13 hp. I am working in my head the way I want to use them. If I use the transmission from the lawn tractor i took them from, I should be fine.

My sawmill is the same, minus the pile of metal.

Very interested to see how your work progresses. Be sure to keep us posted.

    Hi Brian,

    Welcome!

The sawmill possibilities are endless. I posted a few relevant videos just the other day; you might find a few good ideas there. See here: Bandsaw Mills
