Hello All,
My name is Rich. I'm here to learn how to make my own tools for Custom Guitar building and related projects, like: Guitar Amplifiers, Effects Pedals, Switching Systems, and other Techno-Gizmos!
So the tools I need to make would be for Woodworking as well as Metalworking, including Electronics projects.
I hope to find like-minded people here that can help me accomplish my goals.
Thanks in advance for any an all your help!
BTW-
Here is a list of some of the Tools I have already found for my Guitar related projects:
1) Craftsman 25th Anniversary Chop-Saw with 45-degree angle pivoting base (Awesome find!)
2) 6-Inch Planer with Cast Iron Base (Talk about Heavy Metal!)
3) Chinese Bandsaw +Metal Base with a decent Throat size (I honestly don't know how the pros measure this part!)
4) Ryobi Scrollsaw (It's light enough to set on the kitchen table without breaking it in half!)
5) Craftsman Hand-Router (A free hand-me down tool from a friend who was a Building Super!)
6) Portable Craftsman Aluminum Router Table with Adjustable Height Router ($20 bucks at a Thrift Shop!)
7)Cast Iron Hand Planer with Wood Handle/Grip ($15 bucks at another local Thrift Shop!)
8) Craftsman Portable Drill-Press (On Sale at Sears- $90 bucks New! NOT as great a deal as the other tools I have, but I needed it, so I picked one up.)
9) Micro-Mot Mini Lathe (This sucker was pricey!, but I had a good-paying job when I got it way back in 2002!)
10) Craftsman Cordless Drill-Driver with Charger Base +2 Batteries. (Full Price new- Eh! Whadaya gonna do?!)
11) Dremel Moto-Tool in Case (Flip open the case lid to access the removable Bit Holder Tray! Love this thing!)
12) Dremel Moto-Tool Flex-Shaft (It fits under the Bit Holder Tray in the case!)
13) Dremel Drill-Press Base (Not as Durable as I want to make it- That's a project I hope to "Fix" here!)
14) Miscellaneous Multi-Tools, Hand Tools, Screwdrivers, Files, Wood Chisels, Hammers, Pliers, Cutters, Saws, ....
All the Guy Stuff that my wife would like to throw away, which is why they're now slowly rusting in the humidity-prone Basement/"(Not A Lot Of) Work-Shop"!.
So, yeah! That's it for now!
