Solid build LMMasterMariner, as you have left the hand wheel in place I assume you can still use it independently of your drive.

Hello Olderdan, you are correct. I can still operate it manually, even when power feed is engaged. It's little bit harder, there is some resistance, but I can do it.

Absolutely beautiful piece of work. Tell me though, is there to be anything else available except a video showing a bunch of photos showing tightening bolts, cutting stock, and milling parts? Like a set of drawings?
I'd love to replicate something similar.
    Thanks for sharing!!

I surmise limitation of window motor is not only too little power [torque & amps] but having it's own gear reduction, RPM too slow for converting up into usable feed rate? The fan motor has all kinds of RPM so your gearbox puts out super reduction needed for milling, not just moving X axis putting here to there.
I'm not surprised, recalling that 18 speed gearbox you hung on the lathe. You have power transmission down-pat!
All along I thought your shop was onboard a vessel...until I saw hinged windows and plaster.
    Too funny.
    Sincerely,
    Toolmaker51
