Hi group!
I decided to built a pair of long reach clamps, I'm going to glue wood for a new open baffle speaker.
I used only salvage scraps, built on feeling basically with grinder and stick welder, except the brass insert and the threaded bar machined with lathe. I chose the old design with fixed threaded part. It would be nice (when energy will cost less) to prepare the steel with milling machines and cold saw to achive perfect planes, probably more of a refinement than a requirement considering the result.
Next: clean the garage full of steel dust, clean the clamp and start to glue the panel for the new speaker!
