If people are starting to put eggs in safes now. I can't wait until Easter to see what happens at egg auctions.
Now a safe in the headrest. UM those forward leaning headrests might as well be good for something besides putting cricks in your neck
Never try to tell me it can't be done
When I have to paint I use KBS products
get off drugs and get a job then you won't need to steal.
But back to headrests. Monday, I went to Ft, Worth with my partner in his 2022 F250, My back and neck are still killing me. That thing must have the most poorly designed seats I have ever seen. Might be comfortable for the hunchback of Noto dame. I can't even imagine how bad it would have been with a wall safe hidden in the headrest. beating me in the back of my head

If that's a viral ad for the headrest safe, the eggs are a clever touch. I don't know if you want a metal safe wall against your skull in case of an accident.
Regarding catalytic converter thefts, I thought it was just methheads. But a few months ago the feds busted a $500 million ring of catalytic converter thieves. Most of them were going to a New Jersey shop DG Auto, who was buying huge amounts of converters. Their website is still up: https://dgcatalytic.com/
Justice Department document is here: https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/justi...ter-theft-ring

Put anything of significant weight inside and a serious frontal collision might end in some sort of safe induced head and neck trauma.
Mid nineties, I was filling up my truck at a highway service center, there's a cop about a hundred feet away standing outside his cruiser staring into the back seat and talking on his radio...as I was walking by heading to the cashier I look into the back of the Crown Vic and the rear seat looks like it had exploded, yellow foam bits, shards of puke proof cop seat interior and some random sharp pieces of sheet metal...and a safe...it was about the size of a plastic milk carton.
Now I'm standing there as well, mouth a gap staring into the cruiser, cop says..."that was the damnedest thing, we caught the guys that took the box from the Mini Mart, I was on my way back the house and hit black ice, I went around once and when I came out of it I was pointed back in the right direction, the car stopped short and the box came right into my back seat!!
I'm with Jon about the potential issues.
I had no idea such a thing was an item and commercially available until Gooogly showed me.
An Eby seller has them listed (seems to be same item) and has that, 'the lock can be USB backup powered and has a mechanical key if all else fails.'
You think they had Vince and Larry to test them out in high speed crash test?
Would your auto insurnance cover you in a head or neck injury if it came to that since you rerplaced 'NHTSA tested' OEM headrests?
A quote from one site
'"Why We're Different
As the innovator of the headrest safe industry, we have the best product on the market! "
So, it's a whole industry?
Who knew?
$490 retail ($399 on the bay) and for $149 you can a matching dummy so it isn't obvious your safeing.
