Sunday AM we read about a tricycle race on Queen Anne Hill in Seattle that was happening that same afternoon.
My daughter and I wanted to enter the race but we didn't have trikes.
We decided to build them but, since didn't have much time, a tandem trike seemed like the way to go.
The design, build and decorations were a group effort
Everything was sourced with materials we had on hand - no trips to the store - no money spent
(OK, fine. The suggested entry fee was a $5 donation - we gave $10. Since we were a tandem it seemed like the right thing to do. )
My other daughter was our awesome pit crew and first aid master.
A buddy showed up to be our shuttle driver and recon operative.
It could have went either way but, thankfully we got more fun memories than road rash.
Also we took home the 1st place trophy.
