Oh I like it alright, particularly pump and valving being hydraulic.
Compared to heavy conventional bench vises, it seems the bearing area of slide/ housing is not within the ~3 or 4:1 ratio normally used. It's also not oriented vertically, far more common.
All of it depends on the clearances side to side and vertically. A fabricated unit's ability to regulate fits should be easier than how other big vises are made.
Any weak links will be apparent with 32 tons of clamp pressure.
