Yep, it was probably the sparks from the carbon brushes that started the fire. But if the purpose was to poke a hole in the tank to drain it even it was a metal tank, I don't know why he was drilling a hole instead of using a punch and a hammer, brass or aluminum if was worried about a spark,
Never try to tell me it can't be done

For HDPE a simple and brace and bit will do the job, or a sharpened pike or a pickax works for all of them

Yeah, but people are gonna be talking about this around town for years to come. If they hadn't burned the place down and done it on camera, even, who's gonna remember that time Bubba drained a gas tank and nothing happened? My favorite part is when the fat, shirtless guy came running out. What was he doing? Why was he shirtless? So many unanswered questions.

Do not operate heavy equipment, unless you actually know how to.

Where was the local news team when some quick lube shop needed to be exposed for drilling holes in fuel tanks?! Seemed like the shirtless guy was the next in line to get his truck fuel tank drained. Maybe that’s a service they are selling these days? Always pushing something new…
