I don't really need one of these, but I wanted one, but didn't want to spend the coin for one. Off to the scrap pile I went.
A chunk of mystery aluminum, a chunk of 1040 barstock, skateboard bearings, a road sign, an air cleaner knob, and a bunch of bolts.
The design is the standard one, but I made the center roller the adjustable one. It works. The two grooves in the roller are to accommodate the common wide and narrow fret wire tangs.
I didn't bother making it pretty, obviously.
