    I suppose if you were to load the truck bed with sand bags it would provide sufficient protection for the Pinto’s gas tank. Mebbe.

    In the USA, Ford stopped building the Pinto in about 1980. This looks much more like a Ford Escort, which did not suffer from the Pinto's fuel tank issues.

    The biggest problem with the Pinto's gas tank were the people who didn't pay attention to their driving, and ran into the back of them.
