Hey Guys, Does anyone know what this motor was used in? I've been involved with cars and engines for 40 years yet "I" have not known Ford to use this in the states. Anyone?

Ford 2000 tractor built from 1965 to 1975 used a three cylinder engine. Don`t know if that is the same engine. My Ford tractor is a two cylinder diesel.

    That's the 3 cylinder Eco-boost engine.

I wonder if they ever got the Eco-boosts to stop cracking cylinder heads?

A friend of mine had a Mustang limited edition with the 2.3L Eco-boost. It was a vicious little beast. 310HP I think, but he heard so many horror stories about head cracking and other premature failures he wound up trading it in on a Maxima.

A coworker has an F-150 with the Eco-boost V6. It has a great tow rating, but both of us question how long that little boosted motor will live actually pulling the load of a V8.
