    Foot Switch - Very simple

Have been wanting one of these for a long time. I use my drill with a polishing pad in to polish up my stainless steel fabrications and it is a pain to have to switch the drill on and off. Then I got a microswitch out of an old washing machine, but by the time and the effort to make a foot switch to fit this micro switch to I had simply ordered one from Ali Express. $2 I think it was. Unfortunately AE takes about 3 months to deliver to South Africa if you opt for the FREE postage. I was in no hurry.

So Friday 7 packages arrived from China and Wifie was kind enough to collect for me. Lots of nes project waiting now..Lazers,battery holders, mini fan and an ESP33 microcontroller.

But the foot switch was the first and easiest project.

So with a surface mount 4 x 4 electrical box and a 220V multiple plug unit I have a foot switch. It can handle 10A so will see how it last with switching the drill continuously. I did order a 30A relay as well,

Weird thing the switch arrived with totally different colored wires compared to the scematic, but not a big problem to identify the NO wires.

So the tip here is really to sometimes just do a quick search before spending your valuable time fabricating something.
