This fold-up welding table is a variation of the Budget Welding Fixture Table by AM Custom Fab.
It uses the cast iron table from an old Craftsman portable table saw. The table measures 25 1/2 by 20 inches, is 1 3/8 in thick and weighs about 30 lbs by itself.
The 18” folding shelf brackets are from Amazon (around $30 for the pair) and are rated at 300 lbs (it’s not clear whether the rating is per pair), but I doubt I’d trust them anywhere near that. I’ve put about 50 lbs plus the weight of the table on them and that’s about the maximum it will probably ever see.
The brackets are attached to a homemade workbench using carriage bolts into 3/4 in plywood.
I’ve added a mig torch holder by tacking a small section of an old bicycle frame to one side of the table.
